Liquid Chi Kombucha

As I was taking my Ojai Valley Vegetarian Cookbook to the Isla Vista Food Co-Op for consignment, I ran into former Ojai resident Peter Donovan, aka Kombucha Guy.
Peter has produced his fresh, handcrafted Liquid Chi Kombucha for over a decade and was stocking the shelves at the Co-Op with his drink. After talking for a few minutes Peter left and I walked over to the refer, pulled out his ginger raspberry drink, paid for it and enjoyed drinking it on the way back to Ojai.
According to his Facebook page, “Liquid Chi Kombucha is a gourmet artisan tea locally made in Santa Barbara. We make handcrafted batches with Alkaline Kangen Water and offer four unique flavors using mostly organic fruits and herbs. The result is an exceptionally High Quality/High Vibrational Elixir.”
Kombucha has been known to aide the body with digestion, elimination, to detox the liver and to alkalize the body’s pH. In addition to ginger raspberry, his artisan kombuchas also come in orange rosemary, lemon mint, strawberry elderberry and “seasonal” flavors.

If you like kombucha, give his Liquid Chi Kombucha a try. Look for it at locally at The Farmer and The Cook and Rainbow Bridge Natural Food Store.
